Press Release

WASHINGTON, DC – Following the terror attack at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan, Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (NY-12) released the following statement:

“Over the past week we have witnessed two devastating terror attacks. Yet, as the response to both these attacks show, Tuesday’s in Brussel’s and today’s in Lahore, Pakistan – the world community will not let the terrorists win. Instead of driving us apart, these horrific acts are highlighting the global fight against terror, bringing the world community together to combat the various extremists who wish to drive us apart.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the people of Pakistan, and we wish a speedy recovery, in both body and mind, to the innocent victims and their families targeted at the park today.

“We will continue to work with our neighbors worldwide to eliminate terror, so that all people can live without fear regardless of their race, religion or nationality. As the White House said in a statement today, ‘We will be unyielding in our efforts to root out the scourge of terrorism.’”
