Rep. Maloney Hosts 2020 Congressional App Challenge for NY-12
New York, NY – Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) is calling on all middle and high school student in New York’s 12th Congressional District to participate in this year’s Congressional App Challenge.
“I am thrilled to once again be a participating office in the 2020 Congressional App Challenge. Since its founding, this competition has inspired thousands of students nationwide to learn to code,” said Congresswoman Maloney. “I encourage all students, no matter how much or how little experience they have with coding to give it shot and create the app you believe we need. I look forward to seeing all the submissions.”
The CAC accepts computer program apps written in any programming language, for any platform (desktop/PC, web, mobile, raspberry Pi, etc.).
The Challenge’s submission portal is now open. The deadline for student submissions is October 19, 2020. The competition is open to all students who meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of coding experience.
Winners will be selected by panels of judges drawn from the local community and honored by their Member of Congress. Their apps are eligible to be featured on display in the U.S. Capitol building, on the House's website, and on the Congressional App Challenge website.
