On the heels of terrorist arrests in NYC, Maloney calls for end to Homeland Security Funding showdown
WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) today released the following statement on the failure of House Republicans to pass a bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security.
“Democrats are united: we want a long-term, clean funding bill that puts the security of the American people first. The Senate has passed such a bill and the House should follow suit immediately. Terrorists are being arrested in Brooklyn. ISIS is funded, but funding for America’s homeland security is in jeopardy. This is a reckless and outrageous abdication of responsibility."
