Congresswoman Maloney Commemorates Hispanic Heritage Month
WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) released the following statement today in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month 2021.
“The Latinx community contributes every day to the fabric of our nation as essential workers, business owners, teachers, and so much more.
“This Hispanic Heritage Month, as we recognize the long and rich history of Latinx and Hispanic Americans, we should honor this history by fighting to fix our broken immigration system and working to make sure all communities have the support they need to continue to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. This month is an important reminder of the strength and values our nation draws from its immigrant roots and Hispanic communities.”
