WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) released the following statement in celebration of Korean American Day.

“Today, we celebrate Korean American Day and the 118th Anniversary of Korean immigrants arriving on our shores. Today, there are nearly two million Korean Americans living in the United States; part of a community that has made a profound impact on New York City and our nation, and enriching all facets of American life. I proudly represent a large part of this community and join my friends in NY-12, NYC, and across the country in celebrating this year’s Korean American Day.”
