I’ve been working hard to pass important legislation and get things done for New Yorkers. From fighting for workplace flexibility and equal pay, to reauthorizing the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, there is a lot that needs to get done in this new Congress.
As 2014 draws to a close, I wanted to report back to you on the work I’ve been doing on your behalf during the 113th Congress (2013-2014). Despite facing one of the most gridlocked Congresses in history, I have succeeded in advancing many of our progressive priorities to move New York City and our country forward.
Today we rightly honor the service and sacrifices of our nation’s veterans. I am grateful for all that these men and women have done to keep our country safe and secure. We must do everything we can to honor their heroism.
