Update: Upcoming Telephone Town Hall and New Legislation
This week marks the beginning of Congress’ August District Work Period and I am so thrilled to be able to spend so much time in the coming weeks in our home, hearing from you, the constituents of NY-12, about the issues that matter most to you.
Telephone Town Hall: Thursday Aug 8 @ 6pm
Have questions? Want to know the progress of local projects? Curious to get DC updates? Then please tune in this coming Thursday, August 8 at 6PM to my telephone town hall! I look forward to answering your questions and sharing updates about local and federal issues. Don’t forget to register here by 3pm on Thursday.
Helping Visually-Impaired Americans
This week, I joined with Congressman Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) to reintroduce our Medicare Demonstration of Coverage for Low Vision Devices Act. With the rising costs of healthcare, it is critical that those on Medicare have access to any and all necessary medical devices, including those needed to help with vision impairment.
Medicare coverage of low vision devices would be life changing for seniors with vision impairments and allow them to partake in everyday activities, whether it be reading a book, watching television or safely crossing the street. I’m proud to be working #ForThePeople and ensuring every American gets the proper health care they need.
As always, your concerns still and always will remain my top priority. Please do not hesitate to email me through my website.
