NEW YORK—Today, Rep. Carolyn Maloney (NY-12), called for the City of New York to reopen Engine 261 in Long Island City, which has been closed since 2003. Over the last 14 years, LIC has become the fastest growing neighborhood in the city, with an increasing population and growing commercial sector.

This bill, drafted in secret, is just as cruel as the one every Democrat opposed in the House. Momentum for a museum of women’s history on the National Mall is building, with 198 lawmakers signing on to co-sponsor legislation to create it.
