March 14, 2008 - Vol V: Ed II
I'm writing to invite you to attend two upcoming congressional town hall meetings that I am hosting.
My first meeting will focus on economic and development issues in western Queens with New York City Deputy Mayor Robert Lieber, Queens Borough President Helen Marshall, and Ms. Penny Lee of the New York City Department of City Planning. The meeting is being held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19th at the Federation of Hellenic Societies auditorium located at 22-51 29th Street between 23rd Avenue and Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria.
My second meeting will focus on crime, quality of life, and homeland security issues and feature New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly as the guest speaker. It will be held in the auditorium of Baruch College in Room 14 220 at 55 Lexington Avenue between East 24th & East 25th Streets at 7:00 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, March 20, 2008. Both forums will consist of opening remarks by me and the featured speakers to be followed by the opportunity for members of the audience to ask questions. I hope you can join me at one or both of these congressional town hall meetings!
