Congressional Youth Cabinet

The Congressional Youth Cabinet NY-12 (CYC) is a non-partisan, non-political entity that will be made up of youth between the ages of thirteen and twenty-one from high schools across New York’s Twelfth Congressional District.  Each young member will serve a two-year term on the CYC where they will act as Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney’s advisors on critical issues facing young New Yorkers today.  The CYC will meet one weekend day a month to discuss policy, learn about city, state, and federal government, and meet with Congresswoman Maloney, members of her staff, community groups and stakeholders, and other elected officials.

For information on the CYC, please review the student description as well as the application and parent release form that must accompany each application. The submission deadline is June 15, 2018
