Seniors

Since being elected to Congress, I have been working to help seniors get the care and resources they need and deserve. I believe it is particularly important to ensure that seniors have the possibility of aging in place in their own communities, and I am proud of having helped secure federal funding for numerous senior housing developments in my district, including Carnegie East Houses, Riverview Gardens, Archbishop Iacovos Senior Residence, George Douris Tower, the Vallone Family Senior Residence (formerly Astoria Senior Residence) and PCA Senior Residence (currently under construction). From taking a stand to make certain that Medicare and Social Security remain strong and reliable, to fighting for a meaningful Medicare prescription benefit for all, I am working to improve the lives of seniors.
