Reps. Maloney and Ros-Lehtinen introduce bill to give U.S. Holocaust survivors their day in court
WASHINGTON, DC - Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) have introduced the Holocaust Rail Justice Act, which would provide Holocaust survivors their day in court against SNCF, the French rail company that transported more than 75,000 Jews and thousands of others-- including U.S. air pilots—to concentration camps during World War II. Earlier this week people across the world recognized Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, in memory of those murdered by the Nazis.

Robert Menendez (D-NJ) introduced the “Simon Wiesenthal Holocaust Education Act,” which would help increase awareness of the Holocaust in public school curricula nationwide. Earlier this week people across the world recognized Yom Hashoa, Holocaust Remembrance Day, in memory of the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis.

WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-NY), and Senator Robert Menendez have reintroduced the “Simon Wiesenthal Holocaust Education Act” (H.R. 1753) which would help increase awareness of the Holocaust by boosting programs and institutions that teach about the Holocaust and its lessons.

WASHINGTON – Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney (D-Manhattan, Queens) and U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) have reintroduced bipartisan legislation in the House and Senate, respectively, that would help increase awareness of the Holocaust. The Simon Wiesenthal Holocaust Education Act (H.R. 1092) would give a boost to programs and institutions that teach about the Holocaust and its lessons.
